Don't laugh.
Once upon a time, long, long ago, in a suburb far far away, lived a girl, who, at a very vulnerable time at her life, wore pink. It wasn't her fault, of course. She was young. She had acne. She was struggling with that young teen time of life when life is just plain difficult. It was the 80's and ruffles were in. She wanted to dance. She wanted to look pretty. And no one bothered to tell her that hot pink ruffles were not the ticket!
Long story shortened, my mom finally emptied the closet and brought my 8th grade graduation and 11th grade prom dresses here, so my girls, after a bit of side-busting laughter, could play dress up.
The little ones love them. Tiara thinks they are downright hilarious. "You wore THAT??!?!?!?" "In public?!?!??!"
The pale pink was eighth grade graduation. I actually remember picking out the fabric. That was during a particularly homely phase of life when I had short permed hair - not good. The hot pink dress I wore to prom with Tim Sheridan - a really tall senior. It was, well, pink, with lots of ruffles. Scary. Mom made them both - to her credit. Who knows... may be they'll be "in" when Elise hits high school...

Quotes to consider...
"The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed."
-Albert Einstein
What the heart has once owned and had, it shall never lose."

It is in your moments of decision that your destiny is shaped. -- Anthony Robbins
We don't stop playing because we grow old; We grow old because we stop playing. -- George Bernard Shaw
An adventure is only an inconvenience rightly considered. An inconvenience is an adventure wrongly considered. -- GK Chesterton

For most of history, Anonymous was a woman. -- Virginia Woolf
A friend is someone who will help you move. A real friend is someone who will help you move a body. -- anon
The only reason some people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory. -- Paul Fix
For attractive lips, speak words of kindness. For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people. For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry. For beautiful hair, let a child run his fingers through it once a day. For poise, walk with the knowledge you’ll never walk alone … The best thing to hold onto in life is each other. ~Audry Hepburn
I am a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work the more I have of it. -- Thomas Jefferson
