I recently heard this quote from a woman I know here and I love it. It says it all.

"My German vacuum cleaner doesn't suck!"

(Meaning, of course, it does suck in that it's a lousy vacuum cleaner that doesn't suck - a malady claimed by many German vacuums.)

And... on a completely separate tidbit, you all must know that while you're enjoying summer, I can't leave my coffee out for five minutes without it feeling refrigerated. My big brick house is cold, but I daren't turn on the heat knowing that by the time it heats, the heat wave will reign again and I'll be living in a brick oven. Not whining. Just stating facts. I'm cold. I have an aversion to socks, yet I feel compelled to wear them. That is just irritating.
