Wish I would have gotten Arianna's face in this one... would have been a good photo... oh well... traditions are nice, comforting... and when the weather allows, we treat ourselves to a coffee and slice of cake at a wonderful cafe in Immendorf each Sunday after church. There's a lake with turtles that keep the kids happy, horses they pick grass and feed, and a playground. Top that off with 60 cent cones of delicious home made ice cream and you have yourself a perfect afternoon where the kids will play happily for hours while the adults sit back on the patio with delicious latte macchiatos and thick slices of mouthwatering German cake. Today was no exception. There was a free meal after church, but even after that, we needed the peace and quiet of our Immendorf retreat. A macchiato later, we were all relaxed. And, even in their pretty taffeta dresses, the kids still managed to climb the tree house ladder, swing on the swings, and build castles in the sandbox.
