Life: Idiotropic

Last night at 2am, I awoke with two little girls in my bed and what sounded like banging on the side of the house. I sat up, listened. The sound was close. I imagined someone in the house, someone breaking in, my other two girls downstairs. A moment of panic followed by slight bravado. Deep breath. I need to investigate. As I stood up something caught my eye at the window. I looked again and began to breath. Fireworks. Could that banging really be fireworks? A phenomenal show was going on in Valencia - may be the best show I've ever seen, and I was seeing it from my window 20 kilometers away. Elise and I sat on the bed and watched. She wandered to the bathroom. The housekeeper had left the window open. Ahh. Sound is the best magician.

But 2am??!??! Isn't that a bit late for a Wednesday night fireworks display on a non-holiday?
