I was there to sit and smile. The guidance counselor talked to Tiara 95% of the time. She asked Tiara questions and went over a survey with her. Tiara was nervous, but I think she feels good about moving to a different school.
Anyway... the school is big and looks nice from the outside. The entire school is surrounded by fences and there is a security gate there, so you need an ID to get on the school grounds. It is probably more secure than the school she's at now even though it's separate from the base.
While we were getting registered, Arianna was at the Visser Chocolate factory in Schimmert, NL. She and her kindergarten friends went on a field trip there for a tour of the factory. They all liked the cute white hair net caps that they wore and they all came back with a large tablet of milk chocolate. The chocolate was ok, but not anything spectacular enough to make the drive there. Rousseau in Sittard is better.
Not long after the busy afternoon was International Women's first Spanish night ever! The Spanish have never had enough people here to really do their own night, but this year they started and put the rest of us to shame. There have been a lot of great nights, but this one was the perfect combination of great food, entertainment, fun, and conversation. A slide show with music played while we ate dinner and visited with friends. The door prizes were all very special - embroidered scarves from Spain, Spanish wine, and other treasures. I, like always, left prize-less, but the night was fabulous and I'll look forward to their next one in January.
With the bread and other treats on the table was a bowl of Alioli. Noemi made it and it got rave reviews from the ladies at my table. Here's her recipe:
Blend 2.5 cups oil with 1 cups milk and 2 crushed garlic cloves on high speed until completely combined into a cream.
Spread onto bread or use as you would normally use mayonnaise. Add salt and/or pepper to it as desired.
Sangria by Joana
For each liter of wine, add the juice from 2 oranges,2 mangos, or 4 peaches along with 5 teaspoons of sugar, the juice of two lemons, 2 limes cut into quarters, and 2 teaspoons of cinnamon.

Combine
all the above ingredients together and let it sit, preferably
overnight. Taste it often. If it is too strong, add more orange juice.
Add sugar as needed for your own taste.

Quotes to consider...
"The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed."
-Albert Einstein
What the heart has once owned and had, it shall never lose."
-- Henry Ward Beecher
It is in your moments of decision that your destiny is shaped. -- Anthony Robbins
We don't stop playing because we grow old; We grow old because we stop playing. -- George Bernard Shaw
An adventure is only an inconvenience rightly considered. An inconvenience is an adventure wrongly considered. -- GK Chesterton

For most of history, Anonymous was a woman. -- Virginia Woolf
A friend is someone who will help you move. A real friend is someone who will help you move a body. -- anon
The only reason some people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory. -- Paul Fix
For attractive lips, speak words of kindness. For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people. For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry. For beautiful hair, let a child run his fingers through it once a day. For poise, walk with the knowledge you’ll never walk alone … The best thing to hold onto in life is each other. ~Audry Hepburn
I am a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work the more I have of it. -- Thomas Jefferson
