This computer has eaten up my evenings and I'm still not getting anything done. So most of Paris Day 2 is written, but then I got sidetracked and started writing the Paris blog for my local website which isn't finished either, and then I found out that my yearbook staffers can each have their own log in and ID and do their pages completely on their own time on their home computers, so I've been trying to figure that out as well. All four girls attended school today, but their coughs still keep me up at night. Kirk has now missed 7 workdays and is miserable.
I think that my life could be like the Mouse and Cookie book...

"If you give a mom a project"...
She'll need a cup of coffee to help her through it,
So she'll go downstairs to make one, but she'll see the dishes in the sink and decide to load the dishwasher.
The sound of the dishwasher will remind her that the laundry needs to go in the dryer, but on the way to the laundry room, she'll trip over her daughter's special bunny, so she'll take the bunny back to her daughter's room.
Getting sentimental, she'll decide to surprise the girls by making up their beds.
While she makes up the beds, she'll find a moldy pumpkin stuck between the bed and the wall.
When she takes the pumpkin to the trash, she'll see the pot of coffee.
Seeing the pot of coffee, she'll pour herself a cup.
The coffee smell will remind her of the project that she has waiting upstairs.
When she goes upstairs, she will find that the computer has crashed.
While she's waiting for the computer to reboot, the phone will ring.
If she picks it up, it will be a friend - with another project.
If the friend asks, she'll say yes.
And, chances are, if she takes on another project,
She'll need an extra large mug of coffee to go with it.

Yes, it's rough... but it's almost midnight and I haven't had my second cup of coffee yet!

Quotes to consider...
"The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed."
-Albert Einstein
What the heart has once owned and had, it shall never lose."
-- Henry Ward Beecher
It is in your moments of decision that your destiny is shaped. -- Anthony Robbins
We don't stop playing because we grow old; We grow old because we stop playing. -- George Bernard Shaw
An adventure is only an inconvenience rightly considered. An inconvenience is an adventure wrongly considered. -- GK Chesterton
The creation of a thousand forests is in one acorn. -- Ralph Waldo Emerson
For most of history, Anonymous was a woman. -- Virginia Woolf
A friend is someone who will help you move. A real friend is someone who will help you move a body. -- anon
The only reason some people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory. -- Paul Fix
For attractive lips, speak words of kindness. For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people. For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry. For beautiful hair, let a child run his fingers through it once a day. For poise, walk with the knowledge you’ll never walk alone … The best thing to hold onto in life is each other. ~Audry Hepburn
I am a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work the more I have of it. -- Thomas Jefferson
