Tears and laughter. That's been the last 24 hours. Tears of joy when the plane landed here in Germany. Happy tears and laughter at my girls old school where they had lunch with friends and visited old teachers. Where I saw so many friends I missed so much. Hugs. Real tight sincere hugs. Coffee at the cafe that I called my second home - the place where they knew me - my meeting place. Time with friends Italian, Turkish, Hungarian, and American. More hugs. Kisses. More laughter. Lots of laughter. 4.5 hours of absolutely priceless time with Tinny on her birthday. Cake and coffee first. Bread and wurst after. That's how it should be. Tea and games. Talk and tears. Happy tears 'cause I'm here. Sad tears because I can't stay forever. Tinny took a birthday call. I soaked a napkin in salt water and mascara. But it was perfect. The girls loved the time. We walked next door to see Kurt and his miniature pony and goat. He was just as warm and sweet. Hugged us tightly too.
An absolutely perfect day. Ice cold, but sunny and blue. I'd forgotten how beautiful it is here. The land and the people. So good to be "home."
Back in the guesthouse to a nice email. My seventh TBR article is online! Fun for me since the TBR wasn't online when the previous 6 were written. Available in a PDF version too now which is a nice way for me to keep it. If you'd like to read this little article (written the night before it was due, so don't judge it too harshly), you can find it here: http://www.triborderreporter.com/. Look for the beach photo near the top... the link to the Granada article is below. :)

Quotes to consider...
"The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed."
-Albert Einstein
What the heart has once owned and had, it shall never lose."
-- Henry Ward Beecher
It is in your moments of decision that your destiny is shaped. -- Anthony Robbins
We don't stop playing because we grow old; We grow old because we stop playing. -- George Bernard Shaw
An adventure is only an inconvenience rightly considered. An inconvenience is an adventure wrongly considered. -- GK Chesterton
The creation of a thousand forests is in one acorn. -- Ralph Waldo Emerson
For most of history, Anonymous was a woman. -- Virginia Woolf
A friend is someone who will help you move. A real friend is someone who will help you move a body. -- anon
The only reason some people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory. -- Paul Fix
For attractive lips, speak words of kindness. For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people. For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry. For beautiful hair, let a child run his fingers through it once a day. For poise, walk with the knowledge you’ll never walk alone … The best thing to hold onto in life is each other. ~Audry Hepburn
I am a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work the more I have of it. -- Thomas Jefferson
