Father's Day means a nice breakfast and a family activity of dad's choice. Dad's choice within reason though... a cranky crew doesn't make anyone happy, so golf is out. So is hours in front of the history channel. The aquarium? A win.
This aquarium is a collection of several different modern looking building - all unique - all beautiful. They reflect each other and the ponds that connect them all. It's gorgeous even from the outside.
The dolphin show was different today - not as good actually, less organized, and one trainer had no control over her dolphins. However, it did enable me to get this shot which isn't bad.
The beluga whale was especially friendly pausing for a full 3 minutes or more in front of the glass for photo ops.
And, lucky us, we caught the feeding of the sea lions when the trainers also come out and do small health checkups. The male "lion" fits his name well with his thick "mane" around his neck. He opened wide for his check-up, then shook his head and spit went flying. His trainer grimaced, tipped her head back, and clamped her mouth tight around the training whistle she held there. Blech.
We ate lunch again here... funny. It's nice, really, but so different. No hamburgers at this little cafe. You can get pasta, rotisserie chicken, calamari, whole grilled cuttlefish, breaded fish, hot dogs, paella, etc... The calamari aren't fantastic, but just that you can get them... or a whole grilled cuttlefish is pretty fun. I had paella today and it was as expected per the locale - very bland.
The table across from us sat about 40 teenagers - obviously with a school tour group. Of the beverages on the table 1 was a water. ALL the others were Coca Cola in the famous red can... a sea of red cans.

Quotes to consider...
"The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed."
-Albert Einstein
What the heart has once owned and had, it shall never lose."
-- Henry Ward Beecher
It is in your moments of decision that your destiny is shaped. -- Anthony Robbins
We don't stop playing because we grow old; We grow old because we stop playing. -- George Bernard Shaw
An adventure is only an inconvenience rightly considered. An inconvenience is an adventure wrongly considered. -- GK Chesterton
The creation of a thousand forests is in one acorn. -- Ralph Waldo Emerson
For most of history, Anonymous was a woman. -- Virginia Woolf
A friend is someone who will help you move. A real friend is someone who will help you move a body. -- anon
The only reason some people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory. -- Paul Fix
For attractive lips, speak words of kindness. For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people. For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry. For beautiful hair, let a child run his fingers through it once a day. For poise, walk with the knowledge you’ll never walk alone … The best thing to hold onto in life is each other. ~Audry Hepburn
I am a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work the more I have of it. -- Thomas Jefferson
