Cotton Balls?

Why can't I find cotton balls in Spain?  Miniature cotton pancake rounds, yes, but balls?  I finally thought I had it.  Through the clear package, it looked as though I might have hit the jackpot.  Obviously I didn't notice the words, "Plisado en Zig-Zag."  Clearly, no self respecting cotton ball would be anything in Zig-Zag.   I came home triumphant.  Tiara was thrilled.  Finally, a girl's best friend, helper with all things smelly, astringent and polish remover!  I sat quietly working on my computer when she walked in like this.  Huh.  A cacophony of teary-eyed chuckles and stupid jokes and I hand her the scissors.  So, shall we add cotton balls to the list of American things we "need?"
