On our way to the Keukenhof last month, Elise had to go to the bathroom. Knowing that the autobahn was a long stretch with no facilities, I convinced Kirk to pull over by some trees on a narrow dirt road. Elise was uneasy at first, but finished triumphant and giggling in that "I just did something not entirely acceptable" kind of way... she was thrilled. She said it was fun to potty in the grass.

Today I was walking outside to talk to Kirk while he grilled our dinner when Luci passed by me informing me that she was getting tissue for Elise who needed to go potty. So, I walked by Kirk and went into the garden to find her. No where in sight. "Elise?" The leaves of the hedge rustled and there peaked out my youngest, bare bottomed with her underwear and skirt in her hand. "I had to go potty," she said. "Have you gone yet?" "No." "Well, then get in the house and go!!!"

Silly girl. You'd think I had boys. Guess she's ready for a camping trip.
